Artists’ Opportunities

glór is a hub for Artists and the below initiatives offer a range of ways to network, develop and exchange creatively. This programme has been designed to respond to a wide array of artists’ needs and help them to be part of a creative community, as a small step towards sustaining their practise and fuelling their way of a life.

glór abides by The Arts Council’s ‘Pay the Artist Policy’ and subscribes to the Arts Council’s vision for an Ireland where artists and practitioners can have productive and rewarding careers. We are committed to ensuring that all professional artists and arts workers who work in our arts centre are appropriately contracted and remunerated and that we provide an environment in which artists can make work of ambition and quality.  For more information of this please see HERE

glór offers a wide range of ways for artists to network, develop and exchange creatively throughout the year as well as frequent artists’ initiatives such as commission opportunities, mentoring, facilitating collaborations, Artists’ Supper evenings and much more!

glór has created a new hot desk area in the foyer for artists called The Nook.  The Nook can provide artists with an alternative place to work and is an ideal location for artists to host in person meetings in. It is free to use but advance booking is essential. Book by emailing admin@glor.ie with your request details. The hot desk will be available to use from 10am – 5pm during weekdays, on a morning, afternoon or full day basis. There is limited availability for using The Nook on Saturdays.

glór invites artists and creative professionals from all disciplines to register with glór, to stay informed on all upcoming opportunities and initiatives.
