Our Corporate and Individual Friends play an essential role ensuring that glór can thrive. This support is key income glór relies on to enable many artist development and community programmes to happen, and which fuels the current and future artists and creative minds in County Clare.
Spotlight on Our Friends
Meet Ronan. He’s a Friend of ours.
Without Friends like Ronan, who as a Corporate Friend makes an annual cash contribution to glór, we couldn’t carry out many essential initiatives that make glór an arts centre for our community, and not just a venue.
We are really proud of the programme of work that happens off stage. We support our many local partners to host events, workshops and meetings at glór – organisations such as the Brothers of Charity, Clare Immigrant Support Centre, Clare Public Participation Network regularly base their work here. We are passionate about encouraging everyone including young and older audiences to access the work here, and our Dementia Friendly Gallery Tours, our activities as part of Bealtaine and support for Clare Youth Theatre and the many summer camps we host is evidence of that. Then for artists there’s Platforms, Soundings, our Artists’ Supper Clubs, our First Fridays series (with Clare Arts Office), our many post-show discussions, the many summer schools and workshops for young people and our new Schools Outreach programme called GASP.
There’s so much more to glór than meets the eye, and it would not be possible without the support of our great circle of Friends. So when you’re next near Liscannor, visit Ronan at the Cliffs of Moher Hotel and check out his amazing art collection. We are only delighted to call him our Friend.
