Are you interested in technical theatre and live performance and looking for an opportunity to develop your skills as part of a busy arts venue?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Theatre Technician to join glór’s technical team. As part of the same recruitment process, we will also establish a Technical Team Panel, creating opportunities for additional crew members to work with us on a casual basis as requirements arise.
Whether you are an experienced technician or at an earlier stage in your technical theatre career, we would love to hear from you. You don’t need to be fully trained across every technical discipline – we are looking for people with relevant practical experience or aptitude, an interest in live performance and a willingness to learn and develop.

Interviews: Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October at glór.
Preferred start date: As soon as possible following appointment.
What You Will Do:
- Support the technical delivery of performances, events and activities at glór.
- Work across lighting, sound, AV, projection and stage operations according to your skills and experience.
- Assist with get-ins, fit-ups, rehearsals, performances and get-outs.
- Work with visiting artists, companies and production teams.
- Help look after and maintain glór’s technical equipment, backstage areas and performance spaces.
What We Are Looking For:
- Some practical experience in technical theatre, live performance/events or related practical skills and aptitude.
- Experience or knowledge in one or more areas such as lighting, sound, AV/projection or stage operations.
- A practical, calm and solutions-focused approach to working in a busy live environment.
- A positive team player who is keen to learn and develop.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Part-time/casual | €15 – €17 per hour, commensurate with experience
Applicants will be considered for both the Theatre Technician position and the Technical Team Panel through the same recruitment process. The Theatre Technician will be appointed directly to glór’s technical team, while the Panel will provide an additional pool of technicians who may be offered work as required.
