On Friday July 21st, the curtain will come down on Meitheal 2023 with the Meitheal Showcase concert in glór.
The event features the Meitheal students and several stars of the trad music world. Doireann Ní Ghlacáin (TG4), Anthony Quigney of the Kilfenora, New York piper, Ivan Goff, Tara Breen (Stockton’s Wing), Niamh Dunne (Beoga), Jody Moran (Australia) and many more.
The finale of the event will feature Meitheal Trad Orchestra whose membership is drawn from the four corners of Ireland and beyond. They will perform a new trad suite by composer Ernestine Healy. Some of the awards won during the week will be announced on the night.
