On Fri July 22nd, the curtain will come down on Meitheal 2022 with the Meitheal Showcase concert in glór. The event features the Meitheal students and several stars of the trad music world. Jos Kelly of Beoga, Donegal fiddle virtuosa, Brid Harper, young musician of the year 2020, Sharon Howley, Concertina guru, Pádraig Rynne, Aisling Lyons, Anthony Quigney, Sylvain Barou, Cathal Ó Curráin, Gavin Strappe, Dylan Carlos, Róisín Broderick and many more.
The finale of the event will feature Meitheal Trad Orchestra whose membership is drawn from the four corners of Ireland and beyond. They will perform a new trad suite by composer Ernestine Healy. Some of the awards won during the week will be announced on the night.
