“Do you remember where you were when…?”
Set in the early days of the first lockdown, Snapshot is a story of two sisters trying to connect in a disconnected world and finding their footing in a changing landscape. Through their relationship, we explore connection, family, and shared memories, all with deft humour and lightness of touch.
Snapshot is inspired by 44 interviews with people about their experiences of lockdown. It is a record of a global event through a local lens.
Created over the course of lockdown in 2020/21 by theatre artist Miriam Needham, Hawk’s Well Theatre premiered the live show, Snapshot in August 2021.
Produced by Hawk’s Well Theatre, Snapshot was originally funded by Hawk’s Well Theatre, Creative Ireland and Sligo County Council. The 2022 tour is supported by a Touring Award from the Arts Council, as part of Hawk’s Well Theatre’s 40th Birthday Celebrations.
