Free Market is an architecture exhibition and ongoing research project that explores the importance and possible future of small market towns in Ireland. Originally conceived as the Irish National Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia 2018, Free Market won widespread acclaim for its exploration of the unique identity of Irish rural towns when it showed in Venice in 2018.
Free Market is curated by a collaborative team of architects and designers, Jeffrey Bolhuis, Jo Anne Butler, Miriam Delaney, Tara Kennedy, Laurence Lord and Orla Murphy.

First Fridays is a monthly series of talks and interactions with some of Ireland’s leading visual arts practitioners, both curators and artists, including a light lunch. This season of First Fridays has been curated by Emma Houlihan. Emma’s theme for the series is Beyond Development. Through dialogue with invited speakers and audiences the intention is to manifest new creative communities in County Clare.
