We are delighted to announce a new online gathering for those keen to get their culture fix. glór will curate an enticing, cross-art programme of theatre, literature, music and film for everyone to enjoy, and will host an online meet-up to discuss and debate each event.

Each Culture Café Talkabout will be co-hosted online on Zoom by Orla Flanagan, Director at glór with writer and poet Grace Wells. We will be encouraging participants to share and connect in a discursive, light-hearted way.

Clare writer Niall Williams’ ninth novel is a tender portrait of a rural community – its idiosyncrasies and traditions, its paradoxes and kindnesses, its failures and triumphs – and a coming-of-age tale like no other. This is Happiness has been selected as the novel for Clare County Library’s new Clare Reads initiative, and was nominated for The Walter Scott prize, the Irish Book Awards and was listed among The Washington Post’s 50 best novels of 2019.
