Bringing together communities across County Clare to celebrate the festival of St Brigid and Imbolc this February Bank holiday Monday. St Brigid is Ireland’s only female patron and has origins in the old Celtic celebration of Imbolc. The festivals represent new beginnings and prosperity; it marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. We will be celebrating through music, dance, poetry, and art. It promises to be an uplifting and family friendly event with performances from Los Paddys, a Céilí, children’s workshops, traditional Irish music, and more. There will be tea, coffee, and baked goods available.
