Do you want to support your local Arts Centre to keep the show on the road?

Here in glór, we can’t wait to open our doors to you again and to welcome you to a great performance or gig. We understand that this may be some time but although the building is closed, our small team is working hard to support artists through various initiatives including the recently launched Artist Mentoring. We will be announcing a number of new creative initiatives shortly including a mural for our foyer in development with Shannon artist Mark Cronin; further online performances for you to enjoy at home along with major commissions in development including CAOIN by Ceara Conway; The Wild Atlantic Tales by Niall de Búrca, Shoreline 2 Skyline by Nuala Kennedy – all due to premiere in glór this year.

We are delighted with our audiences’ response to the many artists’ initiatives we have been working on whilst glór is closed – glór sa Bhaile; glór sa Bhaile: SHORTS and 12 Acts of Christmas, and we will continue to work with our many great local artists to enable you to watch some great music, song, tunes and tales from some of Clare’s finest performers. Work also continues behind the scenes on developing projects with artists and supporting artists to continue being creative in the meantime.

Never before is it more important to support your local artists and arts organisations. Our work will help to create the next generation of critical thinkers who will have the ability to respond creatively to the other challenges thrown our way in the future as well as providing joy, release and beauty through their art…

Many of our customers have asked us if there’s a way they can donate the cost of a ticket (or more) to help support the venue through this difficult time of closure.

Please help us to continue the work that supports our local artists and artists across Ireland, inspired by Clare and by our unique cultural perspective.

If you have booked tickets for glór for a cancelled show, why not consider donating a small amount – €5 or €10 – of the value of the ticket to glór to help secure the future of the venue and to continue to work with our great artistic community. You can also donate a small amount via our text donation service.

We would be very grateful for any support you may offer, and be assured it will help us connect with our audiences and artists and play a part in ensuring we keep the show quite firmly on the road! Albeit it’s a new route we are all taking!
