glór is delighted to announce a new initiative to help artists and creatives in Clare come together and chat about current challenges and future opportunities in our industry.
We may each have different approaches to our creative practise but we are all dealing with some common and substantial challenges right now.
As artists and creatives we are experiencing very tough times caused by the pandemic, and as we cannot meet up face to face right now glór has initiated an artist-led online forum for artists to regularly connect.
We invite artists and creative professionals in performance disciplines such as music, theatre, dance and spoken word, who are based in Clare to participate. Artists from all stages of their career are welcome – emerging to well established.

Through the Creative Circles meet-up we aim to share our current challenges, make connections with each other, and exchange and potentially harness our ideas and thoughts about current and future work.
glór has invited a number of artists to co-host the initial series of meet ups and we intend the gatherings to be peer-led and self-directed. Musician Jack Talty, theatre maker Jacinta Sheerin and performance artist Rachel Macmanus will steer the conversations in a supportive and constructive way.
The meet-ups will be conducted online through Zoom every 3 weeks, and at a later date may switch to in-person events.
Please register your interest for the first meet-up at link below. A zoom link will be emailed to you on the morning of the event. The gatherings are free to attend, just bring your own cuppa! If you have queries about taking part, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and note Creative Circles in subject.
