Artist to Artist Mentoring 2024: Applications Closed

Artist to Artist Mentoring – An artist support initiative by glór

DEADLINE: Monday 29 April 2024

glór is pleased to announce another year of its Artist to Artist Mentoring scheme which supports Clare-based artists by facilitating a mentorship with an artist they admire. Open to performance and non-performance artists alike, glór will support a series of mentoring sessions between artists from June to September.

“Working with Andrew Morrish has re-awakened my desire and given me the confidence to perform my work after a long break.” Kate Hilder (Theatre)

After setting some initial goals, we suggest each mentoring session lasts up to 2 hours, creating a constructive exchange that may focus on particular skills, techniques or challenges. Mentors do not need to be based in Clare and sessions can be online or by phone if not in person. All participants will be paid for their time (more details below).

We recommend taking time to brainstorm artists you admire, and researching suitability via their websites and social media. If you would like some assistance in identifying a mentor, glór would be happy to help with suggesting potential options if we are aware of individuals suitable to your artform and objectives. For advice, please email as soon as possible with details of your artform and areas you would like to work on. glór does not choose or contact your proposed mentor, and cannot promise to identify the perfect mentor for your needs but make suggestions where possible. Please note that mentees need to identify and gain consent from the proposed mentor before applying.

“This has been an incredible experience, the mentorship scheme has helped me realise my dream.” Jacinta Sheerin (Writer)
